Redefining With Jesus: A Local Legends Story

My name is Jennifer (Jen) Vega-Arocho, and I am the founder of Redefining with Jesus, a Christian coaching and resource ministry dedicated to helping women rediscover their identity in Christ, experience healing, and walk confidently in their God-given purpose.

Their story

My name is Jennifer (Jen) Vega-Arocho, and I am the founder of Redefining with Jesus, a Christian coaching and resource ministry dedicated to helping women rediscover their identity in Christ, experience healing, and walk confidently in their God-given purpose.

What began from my own journey of restoration has grown into a ministry rooted in Isaiah 61—to proclaim freedom, bind up the brokenhearted, and remind people that lasting transformation is found in Jesus. Through Christian life coaching, Bible studies, discipleship resources, and faith-based products, my heart is to create spaces where people encounter God’s truth, renew their minds, and experience the hope of the Gospel in practical ways.

I am a wife, mother of four, and a graduate in Christian Coaching and Pastoral Care. Every resource, coaching session, and study I create is designed to equip others with biblical tools that lead to lasting transformation—not through striving, but through intimacy with Christ.

My prayer is that Redefining with Jesus would remind every person who encounters it that no story is beyond God’s redemption. Healing is possible, freedom is available, and because of Jesus, your life can be redefined.

How it began

Redefining with Jesus began through my own ongoing journey of learning to walk closely and honestly with Jesus.

I did not begin because I had everything figured out. In many ways, it began because I didn’t. I knew what it felt like to love God while still carrying wounds, questions, unhealthy patterns, and beliefs that needed to be surrendered to His truth. As Jesus met me in those places, He began teaching me how to journey well with Him—not by pretending to be whole, but by allowing Him into every part of my story.

What began as sharing the lessons, encouragement, and biblical truths God was using in my own life gradually grew into Redefining with Jesus. Today, through Christ-centered coaching and counseling, Bible studies, faith-based resources, and practical tools, I help create space for others to slow down, uncover what may be keeping them bound, and invite Jesus into their healing and transformation.

I am still learning, still growing, and still being redefined by His grace. Redefining with Jesus is simply an invitation for others to join me in that journey—to believe that we do not have to have it all together to move forward. We only have to be willing to walk with Jesus, one surrendered step at a time.

What makes them unique

I believe what makes Redefining with Jesus unique is that it isn’t built around having all the answers—it’s built around creating space to encounter the One who does.

In a world that often tells us to try harder or simply move on, my heart is to help people slow down, become aware of what may be shaping their lives, and invite Jesus into those places. I don’t believe lasting transformation comes from striving; I believe it comes from walking with Jesus, allowing His truth to renew us from the inside out.

Everything I create—whether it’s Christ-centered coaching and counseling, a Bible study, a workshop, or a resource—is designed to be practical, biblically grounded, and centered on a real relationship with Christ. My goal isn’t to give people another program to complete. It’s to equip them with tools that help them continue journeying with Jesus long after we’ve met.

Above all, I want people to leave feeling seen, encouraged, and reminded that they don’t have to have it all together. They simply need to keep saying “yes” to the One who is faithfully transforming them, one step at a time.

A challenge they have overcome

One of my greatest challenges has been overcoming unhealthy introspection and breaking free from the bondage of people-pleasing.

For a long time, I wrestled with the fear of being misunderstood or disappointing others. I often found myself looking inward too much or measuring my faithfulness by how people responded rather than by what God had asked me to do. The Lord has been patiently teaching me that obedience sometimes means being misunderstood, and that faithfulness matters more than approval.

Today, I’m learning to be anchored in His voice instead of the opinions of others. I’ve learned to let the fruit speak for itself while remaining faithful to the calling He has placed on my life through Isaiah 61—to proclaim good news, bind up the brokenhearted, and point people to the freedom found in Christ.

It is still a journey, but I’ve discovered that there is incredible freedom in living for an audience of One. That freedom has shaped not only my life but also the heart behind Redefining with Jesus.

A proud moment

If I’m honest, the achievement I’m most proud of isn’t measured by numbers or milestones—it’s faithfulness.

Building Redefining with Jesus has required countless quiet “yeses” to the Lord. There have been seasons of waiting, pruning, learning, and trusting Him even when I couldn’t see the full picture. Looking back, I’m most grateful that, by His grace, I’ve continued to say yes.

I’m also incredibly thankful for the lives I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside. Seeing someone encounter the love of Christ, rediscover their identity in Him, experience healing, or take a step toward freedom will always be more meaningful to me than any business accomplishment. Those moments remind me why this ministry exists.

Every Bible study, coaching conversation, workshop, and resource is simply another opportunity to faithfully steward what God has entrusted to me. If Redefining with Jesus has helped even one person know Jesus more deeply and walk more confidently in who He created them to be, then I consider that one of my greatest achievements.

Advice for aspiring entrepreneurs

My advice to other entrepreneurs is simple: protect your integrity above everything else.

Integrity is who you are when no one is looking. Your character will always sustain what your talent alone cannot. Remain humble, remain teachable, and never stop being a student of your craft. There is always more to learn, and growth begins the moment we believe we don’t know it all.

Don’t build your business around comparison or the pressure to keep up with everyone else. Build it on conviction. Know why you’ve been entrusted with what you do, stay faithful to that assignment, and trust that the right fruit will come in its season.

Most importantly, remember that success isn’t just about what you accomplish—it’s about who you’re becoming along the way. The greatest legacy you’ll leave isn’t simply what you built, but the integrity, excellence, and faithfulness with which you built it.

What is next

What I’m most excited about right now is launching UNBOUND, a 12-week Christ-centered coaching course designed to help women renew their minds, grow in their identity in Christ, and experience lasting transformation through biblical truth and practical tools.

While UNBOUND provides a clear framework for growth, my hope is that it becomes so much more than a course. I want it to be a journey where women can slow down, walk with Jesus, and uncover the beliefs, patterns, and barriers that may be quietly shaping their lives. Together, we’ll create space for healing, renewed perspective, and practical application that extends far beyond the twelve weeks.

I’m excited because I believe God desires more for His daughters than simply surviving. My prayer is that every woman who joins UNBOUND would leave more confident in who she is in Christ, equipped to continue walking in freedom, and deeply rooted in the truth that transformation is not about striving—it’s about abiding with Jesus and allowing Him to faithfully transform us from the inside out.
